Woman’s face is like a canvas which can project various looks to match different occasions. Some women can classify makeup as an art. Some women define makeup as a synonym to their existence. Some use it for requirement in their work. While some merely shy away from the thought of using it or even attempting to lay their hands on it.
Considering various reservations, requirement of makeup is not only because of societal standards but also a way of putting yourselves in a limelight to take pride of.
Here are some of the ways in which you can apply makeup for different occasions
Learn what makeup suits you best
Calvin Klein once said “The best thing is to look natural, but it takes due amount of makeup to look natural”. Let’s admit it no matter how much women deny it, they all love make up. And sometime in our lives we all have to try and get use to it. Therefore, it is such a great thing if we learn to put on makeup by ourselves. For general makeup your aim should be to create a very presentable and chic look.
Using the right foundation:Unless you are blessed with naturally flawless skin, you must wear a foundation that will allow you to create the illusion of having flawless skin. Your foundation must fit you like a second skin. Hide those dark circles under the eyes and other blemishes by wearing just a basic tone of foundation.
All eyes on me:Now that your skin is toned and evened out, it’s time for some fun! The basic essential of your makeup is to either concentrate on your eyes or on your lips. For those beautiful eyes concentrate in shaping your brows and fill in thin areas with soft grey or brown pencil. Using a kajal is always a good option. Use eyeliner for top lashes.
For those rosy cheeks and lips:Apply powder blush on the ball of the cheek. If you have dark skin tones, bright red blush won’t blend into your skin, no matter how hard you try to rub it in. Neutral shades are best since they give a softer appearance.
Line lips to define shape and apply lip color in bright tones for your color palette.
Mixing and matching various colors and shades for different looks and effects is always a welcome. But it’s important that when you choose a colour, it must suit your skin type, skin colour, and eye colour.
Office makeup: Keep it Simple
Subtle and Soft: While applying makeup for office, make sure that you look natural. Include warm earthy colours in your makeup palette such as basic tones of eye shadow, brown and black mascara and eyeliner, warm tone foundation and blush of light colours like rose or peach and medium toned lipsticks.
Looking fresh the whole day: Apply a foundation that best suits your skin tone. Blend carefully. In a professional office environment, less is more. It’s okay to be a little trendy and reflect who you are, but don’t overdo it by cramming five trends onto one face. Use foundation and concealer as needed.
Not neglecting any of the areas: Stick with one or two neutral eye colors, a coat of mascara, sweep of blush across the cheeks and a lipstick that resembles your natural lip color with a little more kick. Many women feel comfortable making up just their eyes or just their lips, leaving the other areas neglected. For a complete well-rounded appearance, wear something soft on each feature.
